College Construction Update, November 2008 As the weather begins to turn colder and the days grow shorter, the construction of the college buildings continues at full tilt. The shells of the upper floors of the main classroom building are completed, and the walls on the lower floors are going up, allowing the interior work to begin. The skyline of Bethlehem and Jerusalem in the distance can no longer be seen from the slope of the hill as the buildings grow. However, the height of the buildings will offer an exceptional view from the interiors once the buildings are complete. Because of the steep grade on which the buildings are being constructed, it is difficult to get an idea of the grand scale of the project, since a good vantage point is not available for photographs. Despite this, it is exciting to see the development and growth of the buildings and to consider what this facility will have to offer once completed. It will be a unique location where Palestinians can learn and create in a modern environment with all the benefits of new technology.
